Braided construction, rather than spiraled.
It’s cheaper to spiral the reinforcing yarn down the tube in opposite directions and then spray it with an adhesive, which glues it all together. Most spray hose on the market is made that way. If you've ever kinked a piece of spiraled hose next to your ear, you've probably heard little "popping" sounds. That's the glue letting go, and it will always kink there after in that very same spot. Braiding on the other hand, is a true over and under process, slower and more expensive, but it allows the fibers to "float".Braided hose will not kink. If you force a kink, it will squirm its way through.
No Memory
Once the hose has been pressurized and the fibers flexed, it will not curl up on you. It stays where you put it.
Flexible
Another bonus of braiding. Gluing the fibers together makes for a stiffer hose.
Stays Round
Substantial enough to keep its shape so you don’t lose flow because the hose is compressed in your reel.
Blue Stripe
Helps avoid twisting when you reel in your hose. Twisted hose is difficult to handle, and it tends to kink.
Chemical Resistant Hose
The inner core material was originally formulated for use in a fuel and solvent resistant hose. Works great with herbicides & pesticides.
